Prosser River Ranch FAQ's:
How large is your venue and what is your capacity?
Prosser River Ranch provides over 15,000 sq ft of outdoor event space and 1000 ft of waterfront. We can accommodate up to 500 people for a seated reception. Prosser River Ranch is more than happy to work with you to design an event for whatever size party you may choose. The space works great for 10-500 people.
What is included in the event rental?
- 15,000 square feet of event space
- One Day or 48 hour rental periods with option to purchase additional hours

- Ample parking spaces
How late can we stay?
Cut off time varies depending on what package you book. Please inquire with our Wedding Coordinator.
How much time should I allow for my vendors to set-up and tear-down?
This will really depend on your event and is a great conversation to have with your caterer, the vendors and your planner, if you decide to have one!
Can I decorate the space?
Yes! Prosser River Ranch is a blank canvas. We want you to customize the space to be what you want it to be. We only ask that you leave it as you found it.
Is there indoor space? And do we have access to it?
Yes, there is a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home that you can access. We just ask that only the bridal party and family access the house. It does not have the capacity to suit or withstand more than 20 people. Overnight accommodations are only available for Standard Weekend or Mid-week Packages.
How many restrooms do you have?
The Ranch House has 4 restrooms that can all be utilized by the bridal party. Restrooms must otherwise be provided for the event guests.
Do you offer ADA parking/access?
Yes, we have ADA parking and access to the lawn for your guests.
When can I have my vendors drop of rentals etc.?
This is dependent on when you are getting access to the space and what is worked out between your caterers.
Who can I talk to for venue needs on the day of event?
We do not provide staff for your event. However, our Wedding Coordinator will be available if you need anything.
Where can our bridal party, guests and family members store things?
The Ranch House is available for the bridal party and family members.
Do you have a required food and beverage minimum?
No, Prosser River Ranch has a rental fee and has no food and beverage minimum. Food and beverage is worked out with your caterer.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes! We just require that you have a licensed individual serving, a banquet permit and an insurance policy that includes host liquor liability. Prosser River Ranch does not allow for a self-service bar.
Are we required to use your preferred vendors?
All other vendors recommended by Prosser River Ranch are just recommendations and not required.
Do we have to clean-up following the event?
Yes. We ask that you leave the grounds as you found them.
When do we have to pay our balance?
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Your remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event.
Is there parking?
Yes! We have a whole lot next to the venue dedicated to parking.
Can we have a live band?
Of course, we encourage it. We welcome bands and DJ music until 10pm. All outdoor and amplified music must end by 10pm according to city ordinance.
Do you have tables and chairs for our event?
No. You will have to rent your own tables and chairs, however we or your caterer can point you in the best direction to get the perfect tables and chairs.
Who sets up our ceremony chairs and reception tables?
Your vendors can do this for you, or you can work this out with your caterers.
Can we bring in outside furniture?
Yes! Prosser River Ranch is designed so you can model your event how you best see fit. We are happy to suggest vendors for this. You just need to let us know who your vendors are and make sure that your vendors pick up the furniture at their allotted time.
Where can guests smoke?
Guests can utilize the outdoor areas to smoke. There is absolutely no smoking inside the ranch home.
Do you allow candles?
Yes! We allow votive candles, which are enclosed in glass, in easily monitored places.
Do you allow confetti or rice?
We prefer you to refrain from these types of items. We suggest dried lavender instead of rice and flower petals instead of confetti.
Do you have a PA system for iPods or speeches?
No. This will need to be arranged with your DJ.
Do you have a projector/TV for slide shows or presentations?
No. This will have to be arranged with your DJ or other vendor.
Do we need event insurance?
Yes, event insurance with host liquor liability coverage naming the venue as additional insured is required.
Do we need to hire a planner or day-of-coordinator?
This is definitely not required, however we fully recommend it as it will make your event less stressful and more FUN! Let us know if you need a recommendation!
Are deposits refundable?
No, 50% deposits are not refundable.
